A bit pricey imo but there’s not a lot of options for wide shoes out there. These came with flat inserts and arched inserts which was nice, and a shoe horn which was really nice. I’d try to wait for a sale or coupon to purchase again. Also, pay attention to the color. The pictures and color option did not match. The color that’s listed is the color you get, not what’s represented in the picture.Great shoes, but they were huge. We ordered the same size as my other Dr Comfort shoes and were very surprised by the size difference.I have reordered the same shoes in a smaller size.The pewter color looks more grayish green in person. I was expecting closer to black.I have very flat feet and have purchased several less expensive shoes than these in a failed search for quality orthopedic shoes that fit properly and supported me arch sufficiently. (My custom orthotics are hard, hurt like the devil, and when substituted for the luxurious insoles that are the only things of merit in most orthopedic shoes, the shoe becomes useless.)These Dr. Comfort shoes are terrific right out of the box and give enough support without my orthotic. The insole is designed with padding and well-placed gel-type reinforcement in all the right places. I don’t even want to take them off to get into slippers. You truly get what you pay for in this kind of investment. BTW, the shoes are true to size. I am a somewhat narrow size 7 1/2-8, and after reading some reviews advising the shoes were too short or too long, glad I ordered the size 8. There’s enough room to accommodate socks of various thicknesses.I’m thinking of canceling my knee injection appointment as these shoes almost miraculously relieved my knee pain. Probably the shoes are curing the spinal misalignment that that is the source of so much joint pain. I just hope they hold up under daily use.Love the color! The strap is a little too high and too tight when pulling to meet the velcro. The strap does not cross where most Mary Janes do. These are toward the ankle. I wear them though would like to find a shoe shop and see if strap can be moved. Have not followed thru with this but is on the list. My 24 yr old grandson noticed them the first time I wore them and thought the looked great. He noticed the flowers and the color. Neat shoes!!LOOKS LOVELY, very quality; however, was expecting double wide to simply be double wide, not giving additional height across the top of the foot. I would say this is for someone hefty, they would have been great width wise but across the top was crazy. I had a neighbor who always had to wear men's shoes because she had a 'fat foot;' poor thing. These would be great for someone with a foot built like that. Now if I could only find xx that don't add expansion up and down/height from top to bottom of foot.like the size and the colorI Returned these shoes because they were too short, and too wide. I paid $72.50. I am being credited $45.28. They were in excellent condition, with paper and everything still intact. I expected to be charged shipping, but $27.22????
